The choices you make now will affect you for the rest of your life.

I hate to see you swim out so far you can't swim back.”

This book is actually a birthday present from a friend and I never actually read it until I really had nothing to do. I guess this time I have to thank boredom.

Juli Baker has just proved "Love at first sight" true. She had heard that someone her age was moving to her neighborhood and how excited she was. Who she thought would be her playmate became her first love.

The first time she saw him, her heart stopped. She would follow Bryce everywhere and Bryce would do anything to get rid of her. This continued until eight grade when the situation became reversed.  Juli decided to look behind the handsome shell and saw an arrogant jerk and Bryce saw how special Juli is.

Wendelin Van Draanen did an amazing plot twist in the book. She wrote it in two different voices that made me have a wider scope of the events and it made me understand what was going on better. There are no open endings and Wendelin Van Draanen wrote it in a way that lovesick teenagers these days will be able to relate to.

What I really loved about Flipped was that the characters were realistic and easy to relate to. It showed me the real definition of true love. Flipped is a very honest book and I have never read anything like it before. Plus the two perspectives made it very unique and creative.

Honestly, if you ask me, I would re-read it and never get tired of it. If I don't have a new book, I would grab this one and sit in a hunched position and I won't stop until it's dinner. Shoot, even the movie is amazing. When I read this book, I seriously fell in love and flipped.
